Go Tell It On The Mountain

“Go tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills, and everywhere;
Go tell it on the mountain
Our Jesus Christ is born ….”

So sings the chorus of this Negro spiritual from the plantation fields of the southern United States in the 1800’s.  But during the 20th century, the song grew into a beloved Christmas carol appreciated throughout the nation. And one of the most popular versions ever recorded was the one by Jim Nabors.  Click on the link below to hear him sing it.
